Douglas N Franke served as a navigator with the 392nd Bomb Group. He was shot down on mission to Berlin on 29 April 1944 in B-24 #427510 'El Lobo'. The aircraft crashed into a wooded area outside of Dinklage, Germany. All of the crew were Killed in Action (KIA).
