Don served with the 364BS, 305BG, 8AF USAAF flying 17 missions, he started out being enlisted into the army as a radio operator then taught school for two years before heading to Yuma, Arizona for gunnery training, then from their he went to McDill airfield, Florida where the 305th bomb group was formed. Post war he was part of project 'Casey Jones' the aerial photo mapping of Europe then upon returning home he became a VP of a bank.
Awards: AM(OLC), WWII Victory, EAME, Good Conduct.
