Joined RCAF, trained in US, shiped overseas to ETO, conversion training on Hurricanes at 56 OTU, assigned to 121 [Eagle] Sqn RAF flying hurricanes and later Spitfires and transferred as casualty replacement into 71[Eagle] Sqn RAF, stuck on convoy protection and itching for combat, transferred to Middle East with 258 Sqn RAF, transferred to 30 Sqn RAF, shot down in combat with Zero's defending his airfield at Ceylon 5-4-42 KIA. His body was never recovered and he is memorialsed on the tablets of the missing, Singapore Memorial.
