MilitaryOn 14 January 1945, B-17 #44-8314 'Pair-a-dice Kids' suffered runaway prop whilst en-route to Derben. Dropped out of formation. Hit by flak over Rostov, Germany, whilst heading for Finland. Lost 2nd engine. Met by Swedish fighter plane and escorted to airfield at Malmo.
