MilitaryShot down 11 April 1944 in B-17 #42-31896. 'We passed out of the target area severely damaged by Flak. E/A activity was intense over the Baltic in the area near Rostock and we were attacked by more than one fighter as soon as we crossed the north German coast. At about this time I was knocked unconscious by a 20mm shell'. Prisoner of War (POW).
