Flying with the 379th BG/527th BS over to England, Losses of the 8th and 9th AFs states the plane's landing gear collapsed on landing at Prestwick on 1-May-43. The plane was B--17F 42-29942 piloted by Major Earl Carlson. The crew escaped injury.
