Ed Reniere notes (December 2017) : The 303rd Bomb Group website ( www.303rdbg.com ) lists Chester H. Oliver in its Roster and Support Personnel list, without any details. The link to "Galloping Gus" (B-17 41-9215) on this website was wrong and the connection deleted. 41-9215 was assigned to the 11th BG/98th BS in Hawaii on 5 June 1942 and flew only in the Pacific. Chester's daughter corrected me in 2003 and wrote that the Fortress her Father flew on was not "Galloping Gus" but "Galloping Goose". Serial Number not found, nor any other details...
