He flew on Philip J. Field crew in the 306th BG. Reported to the ETO on 18 Nov 1943. He completed 15 missions before being detachment service with the 305th BG in 1944.

B-17G #42-97578 stalled after take off for a flight to Deenethorpe and crashed into a barracks on 24 Mar 1944. Killed in Action (KIA).
