Object Number - UPL 22504 - Charles N Halder, Jr. Probably taken after his tour in England when he was in Texas as a gunnery instructor.

At 18 years of age and having just graduated High School, Charlie (as he liked to be called) decided he wanted to serve his country by flying. After intense training and a catastrophic training accident, he was formed up with a new crew: Joseph Lauro's in the 367th Bomb Squadron and they were shipped off to England. After 33 missions he returned home safely and had a stint as a gunnery instructor in Texas before his discharge.
