Military22 December 1943 in B-24 #42-7555 ÒLizzyÓ crashed at Kent. Lost an engine on target to Osnabruck, Continued to target and was attacked by fighters on return. Navigator Arthur Barks was fatally wounded, but managed to give Pilot Jorgenson the correct heading before collapsing. Another engine failed and the crew attempted to land at RAF Ludham. 1 Killed in Action (KIA), 9 RTD
