MilitaryHE flew on Clarence Fisher crew. Reported to ETO on 16 Feb 1945.
His most memorable experience with the 306th was the Subpens at Vegasak April 1945 charting the Disney Bombs. He also flew on the weather ship during the Casey Jones Project. He picked up Werner von Braun to get him out of Germany to work on rockets for the US and NASA. He also served in the 307th BG/372BS attached to 5th AF for duty in the Korean War. Shot down 8/24/51 over North Korea, Prisoner of War (POW) until 9/4/53. Retired from the AF on 28 Feb 1961.
