Military

He started out on Lt. Felts crew on the plane named "Steady Doc". He was taken off combat and sent to the wash at King's Inn in April 1943 to August 1943 as head gunnery instructor. He came back to the 369th and was shot down at Schweinfurt, even though he was off that day he was asked to fly as tail gunner.



23 September 1943 returning from mission to Nantes, France, crashed in B-17 #42-3449 while attempting to land at RAF Wing. All crew returned, but 3 seriously injured. Piloted by Immanuel Klette.



10/8/43 crash landed in'Liberty Belle' B-17 #42-5889 on return from mission to Poland. 10 RTD. Piloted by Gustave Holmstrom.



Shot down 14 October 1943 in B-17 #42-30707 'Piccadilly Commando', Piloted by Gustave Holmstrom. According to the NARA, Fatigati was a Prisoner of War (POW) at Stalag 7A Moosburg Bavaria 48-12 (Work Camps 3324-46 Krumbachstrasse 48011, Work Camp 3368 Munich 48-11).
