Charles D Hewes
Military ROLL OF HONOURAssigned to 335FS, 4FG, 8AF USAAF. His Mustang P-51D 44-15455 was seen to spiral out of formation while climbing through a cloud bank. Crashed in a moor in Tinholt, Germany, Lt Hewes suffered a fractured spine. Captured and sent to a hospital, he later died in captivity on 13-Feb-45. POW/KIA. MACR 11312.
