AM w/ 4 Oak Leaf Cluster. Lost at Sea. 'Ida Wanna" had one wing flaming, and one engine feathered. Plane was apparently headed for Sweden when it blew, landing in the sea near Heide, off Holland. T/Sgt. Ralph DeCelle, RO, and T/Sgt. Arvis Stephenson, ENG, survived (POW). Most had flown 32 missions.
