Revisions
Per AZ Daily Star (Tucson, AZ) article reporting the loss of his aircraft - Carmelo was awarded the Air Medal with two oak leaf clusters. Due to being KIA and having served in the ETO, the other awards are educated guesses.
Added a "-" to the A/C serial # in the "Summary biography" to aid clarity & consistency.

Carmelo was one of my great great grandfather's nephews. Carmelo was a 1st generation American, his mother having been born in Italy. He was born and grew up in Morenci, AZ. If you need them, I do have parts of the Missing Air Crew Report for this aircraft, and documents about Carmelo.
