From Rison, Arkansas.
KIA 8-5-1944 as co-pilot of B-24H / #42-50278 / E8-'?' / MACR 4591. Target: Brunswick, Germany. The group formation was attacked by waves of enemy fighters. A mid-air collision with #42-10025 (7 KIA / 3 POW) at 20,000 feed caused the demise of both aircraft. #42-50278 crashed 1 mile north-west of Salzdahlum, 6 miles south-east of Brunswick / Braunschweig. 8 KIA / 1 POW.
