In 1942 was assigned to HQ & HQ Squadron. , 8th Bomber Cmd. and shipped to England on HMS Andes. In April 1942, Pine Tree, High Wycombe, then assigned to HQ 2nd Bomb Wing, Horsham St. Faith, Norwich. Set up Weather Station RAF Hendon, in 1943 with M/Sergeant. Wayne Pennypacker, 18th Weather Squadron.
