Arthur Joseph Frankel
MilitaryFrankel was born in New York in 1919, he enlisted in 1941 and was assigned to the 95th Bomb Group where he trained as a Bomb-Disposal officer. He later served in Korea and Vietnam, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He died in 2002.
Frankel was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 in 1984 about his experience on D-Day, the interview is held in IWM's collection
