"GI ingenuity takes strange twists - GI gadgets have saved many hours and made tedius tasks easier. Shown is a device separating the two halves of the propeller hub, held by T/Sgt. William E. Dieck of Sunbury, PA, while S/Sgt. Arthur J. Monheim of Ottowa, IL a co-designer looks on. Before, the hub had to be separated by steel wedges which cashed and chipped the edges. This device exerts steady, even pressure. Europe 1944."
