KIS. MASTER SERGEANT AND LINE CHIEF OF THE 36TH BOMB SQUADRON. HE DIED IN AN ACCIDENT ON FEBRUARY 1, 1944. THE 36TH BOMB SQUADRON, PART OF THE 'CARPETBAGGERS', CONSISTED OF CONVERTED B-24 BOMBERS WHICH DROPPED AGENTS AND SUPPLIES FOR THE OFFICE OF STRATEGIC SERVICES (OSS) AND THE UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE IN EUROPE. BY NIGHT, THEY FLEW FROM ALCONBURY, TEMPSFORD AND HARRINGTON.
