While in the European theatre, he completed 30 missions with the 93rd. He was a member of a lead crew and performed 21 lead missions, comprised of 2 Division leads and 3 Combat Wing leads.
He was subsequently assigned to the occupation force with the 5th in Nagoya, Japan and later, Anderson AF Base in Guam. He returned to the U.S. in 1950 and became an instructor at Ellington AF Base in Texas where he taught Navigation.
