Born in Madison, Maine, on 6th March 1923. Enlisted in the Army Air Force on 31st December 1942. Went to Radio School and Gunnery School in 1943. Formed a crew in Jan 1944 and trained in Florida until 1st April. Flew to England, arriving at Horham on 11th April 1944. Flew first combat mission on 25th April 1944 and the last on 25th August. Returned to the US in September 1944 and was discharged in September 1945.


Awards: DFC, AM, WWII Victory, EAME.
