I am the second of four sons to US Air Force Major Alvin Dan Dalke, retired (but now deceased), who served in World War II with the 8th Air Force. At the time, he begin as 2nd Lt Dalke, co-pilot on "Back To The Sack", B-24J serial number 44-40249, tail letter "Q", attached to the 854th Bomb Squadron at Metfield Air Field and at North Pickenham Air Field. He served from May 1944 to February 1945.
