MilitaryWas in various units prior to going to England, including chemical warfare, infantry and tailgunner training inB-26 Marauders, etc. Apparently, the trip over was rough. He served in England, France and Germany, after the invasion. He was a passenger in two aircraft that crashed. He was also a member of the rescuer's group at the site of the B-24 Crash into the English school, and was able to visit with one of the women that survived, upon her and her husband's trip to Savannah in 2002.
