Object Number - FRE 6063 - Alexander "Cal" Sloan of the 355th Fighter Group. Written on slide casing: 'Cal Sloan.'
Alexander Sloan, known as 'Cal' worked as a professional photographer, using a Zeiss Contax 35mm camera, prior to enlistment.
After he arrived in England, his wife Gertrude sent his camera over, she would supply him with roles of Kodachrome film, bought from her local drugstore and would send one or two at a time.
During the war Cal took more than 200 images, each shot with using a Weston light meter.
