MilitaryAlbert J. McKinnon, Jr. was a Gunner in a Replacement Crew that arrived 02 Jun 1944 and was assigned to the 713th BS, 448th BG, 8th UAAF. He was on board “LITTLE FAT STUFF II” (42-7591) on 12 Jul 1944 on a mission to Munich when it was damaged by flak and was forced to land at the St. Gallen–Altenrhein Airport, Switzerland. The crew was interned for the remainder of the war. MACR 7559 dated 12 Jul 1944.
