He flew anti-sub patrol, escorting convoys from New York to England, flew 2 missions on D-Day and completed a tour of missions in the European Theatre. He finished his tour flying B-24's frromSalt Lake city via Brazil to England. Later converting crews to B-29's as he awaited serving in the Pacific when the war ended.
