Killed in Action (KIA) 30 September 1944 in B-17G #43-38538. Target was Munster, GE, A/C hit by flak at 27,000 feet just after bombs away. Crashed at 1430hrs at Camp 'Schlieffen,' by Munster/Westfalen. Crew of ten all Killed in Action (KIA). The 457th BGA has honored Sergeant. Young by the placement of the Fait Accompli Trillogy in the Craftsbury Public Library, Craftsbury Common, VT
