IMAGELt Lee S Ayoub of the 383rd Ftr Sq, 364th FG in front of his P-38J 42-68043 "Aboob" (coded N2-D). Officially credited with 1.5 confirmed aerial victories, his aircraft was flown originally by Lt Col George F. Ceuleers, coded N2-D and nicknamed "Connie & Butch INC." This aircraft was eventually transferred to the 428th FS, 474th FG. It was written off on 11 May 1945 after crash landing at airfield R-2, Bad Langensalza, Germany.
