Delivered Lincoln 21/9/44; Grenier 12/10/44; Assigned 20BS/2BG Amendola 19/10/44; detailed bombing Schwechat Oil Refinery in Vienna 21/1/45 with the following crew:

Bombardier: Bill Scott,
Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Joe Koden,
Radio Operator: Bob Cheney,
Ball turret gunner: Bob Train,

All 10 Returned to Duty.
Slightly damaged when crash-landed in a field near Tiszakeszi, Hungary; eventually Romanian engineering personnel used a tail wheel from a Henschel Hs 129 aircraft and timber from nearby trees to repair the B-17 which the crew flew to Miskolc airfield where the ship was serviced and fuelled for the ride back to base; Nicknamed "HALF BREED" after returning from Hungary.
Returned to the USA Bradley 12/7/45; Independence 16/7/45; Reconstruction Finance Corporation (sold for scrap metal in USA) Kingman 7/1/46. Missing Air Crew Report 11542.
