21 May 44: Accident, with Heber Crew 705. While taxiing for a mission, the brakes failed causing the plane to hit 44-40137 WHAT'S UP DOC parked on the hard stand. IRISHMAN'S SHANTY was repaired within a few days.

Transferred to 467th BG, 788th BS

While at the 467th, name was then changed to MONSTER.

Returned to USA in 1945
