44-40151 GI Joe

19 May 44: Lost with Pratt Crew 818

Shot up over Germany on this ship's third mission, the Pratt Crew's first and only. After being hit by FW 190s, Pratt announces to the crew that they are going to bomb the target, "come hell or high water!" But a fire breaks out forcing an order to abandon ship. Only 3 gunners made it out before the fire reached the bomb bay, exploding the ship into a huge fireball.
