Assigned to 73TCS, 434TCG, 9AF USAAF. Became the first aircraft to land on North Pole ice on 3-May-52. Suffered two accidents in 1952 landing and taking off from Fletcher Ice Island, a base made on a floating iceberg. A final landing accident on Fletcher Ice Island caused her to be written off and abandoned derelict. The A/C has since sunk to the bottom of the Artic.
