42-95193 Three Kisses for Luck
Tail gunner Booth cleaning up tail turret - Serial number on this photo, on base at Shipdham
Time frame 13 June to 3 August 1944. Their first mission in this aircraft (their 8th overall) was on 14 June 1944 to Chateaudun, France and returned to base at 1015 hours so I mark the earliest date for this photo taken in daylight as the 13th of June.
Dad's inscription on the back is the next photo.
Oral, written and photographic memories of my father, T/Sgt Woodrow Peterson, 67th of the 44th at Shipdham England, May to August 1944.
I am a docent with The Museum of Flight in Seattle.

Known as 193 I-Bar, this aircraft was received by the 67th squadron, 44th bomb group on 6 June 1944 and survived 83 missions to be returned to the Zone of the Interior (USA) on 27 May 1945. The picture is of Sgt. Jack L. Booth, 193 I-Bar's tail gunner with the 67th 14 June 1944 until 3 August 1944, doing a little house keeping. The photo is from my father Radio Operator/Gunner T/Sgt Woodrow Peterson who flew all 30 of his missions with Sgt. Booth as members of the Lt. William Gilbert Crew.
