Completed 114 (one source says 102) missions and was battle-damaged several times. Force-landed 18 Jun 45 at Lavacolla airfield, Santiago de Compostella, A Coruña, Spain, when # 3 engine lost oil pressure and had to be feathered during the flight from Shannon, Republic of Ireland, to the Azores on the return journey from Bungay to the USA. Lost on Return to U.S.A.
