42-7617 Sunflower Sue
On 15 November 1943, B-24H #42-7617 went missing on route from Puerto Rico to British Guiana. The airmen of the 445th Bomb Group were all declared missing. The aircraft was ferrying to England via the southern route on the initial deployment of the 445th Bomb Group. The aircraft crashed in the Caribbean for unknown reasons. Wreckage was spotted & a green dye marker but no survivors were found.
