De Temple, John P. Devlin, John W. Pace, Richard B. Hobby, Robert D. Molina, Victor L. Appel, Billy Burnett (8 Returned to Duty); Orry E. Wright, William D. Burke (2 Killed in Action); ditched off Corsica, near Ajaccio airport. In 2003 a top turret was dragged up by fishermen, and the following year further searches revealed aircraft upside down in shallow water a few hundred yards off shore. COTTON EYED JOE II.
