Delivered Denver 11/1/44; Presque Is 11/2/44; Assigned 533BS/381BG [VP-V] Ridgewell; 28m Missing in Action Berlin 21/6/44 with Art Bailey, Co-pilot: Bob Irwin, Radio Operator: John Molloy, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Chas. Campbell, Ball turret gunner: Walden Forke, Waist gunner: Coral Highsmith,Tail gunner: Alfred Paoli (7INT); Navigator: Lloyd Peterson & Bombardier: Erwin Brown (2 Prisoner of War), bailed out and came down Friedland, near Berlin and became guests at Stalag Luft #3 at Sagan, on 2 July; enemy aircraft, force landed Rinkaby, Sweden; Missing Air Crew Report 5992. The aircraft was repaired eventually flown back to base; retUS Bradley 22/8/45; 4185 BU Independence 30/11/45; Reconstruction Finance Corporation (sold for scrap metal in USA) Kingman 14/12/45.
