42-110039

On 14 Mar 1944, B-24 42-110039 crashed at Cheddar Gorge, Somerset, during poor weather while attempting to land at Filton, Gloucestershire. The crew were a replacement 8th Air Force crew, on a ferry flight from Marrakech, French Morocco to Valley. Five of the crew were killed, five were injured and returned to duty.
