Delivered Cheyenne 11/6/43; Gore 13/6/43; Rapid City 20/6/43; Geiger 22/6/43; Gr Isle 30/6/43; Dow Fd 18/7/43; Assigned 20BS/2BG Massicault 17/8/43; Bizerte 1/12/43; {13m} transferred 885BS (TD at Maison Blanche, Alg); Missing in Action secret mission 10/9/44 to drop supplies to French & Italian underground, with John Meyers, Co-pilot: Darl Heffelbower, Navigator: Ian Raeburn*, Bombardier: Ray Wilson, Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Don Pullis, Radio Operator: Ernie Kolin, rwg-Bob Lloyd, lwg-Walt Bildstein*,Tail gunner: Louis Simpson (9 Killed in Action); the aircraft and crew remains were found after the war 2/8/45 on Mount Gran Mioul, near Sestriere, Italy. (* both buried Florence American Cemetery, Italy) Missing Air Crew Report 9578. MISS CHARLOTTE.
