"A Consolidated B-24 Liberator of the 15th AAF flies over smoke from bombs that struck at enemy gun positions in the Sete area of Southern France, attacked by heavy bombers on Aug 12 1944. Direct hits were scored on targets." B-24J 44-41159 of the 782nd Bomb Sq, 465th BG was lost 31 January 1945 on a mission to Moosbierbaum, Austria. 2nd Lt John P Frantz & his crew parachuted to become POWs for the duration (MACR 12112).
