Military ROLL OF HONOUR

Bombardier, Winter crew. 381st BG, 532nd BS. Killed in Action (KIA) 9 October 1943. Mission #37 to the aircraft factories at Anklam, Germany. 2LT Morgan bailed out along with 2LT Liming (CP), 2LT Taormina (Nav) and T/Sgt Teal after a 20mm shell exploded in the cockpit, wounding the pilot, starting a fire and causing the aircraft to go out of control. The pilot was only stunned and regained control of the aircraft, put it on automatic pilot and extinguish the fire in the rear of the cockpit. He was able to land at a different base.
