Steven A. Brandt, PhD, Lt Col, USAF (Ret) is a retired U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, engineer, author, professor, webmaster, FAA-certified instructor pilot and mechanic, model builder, historian, husband, father and grandfather. He obtained his PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1988. He has over 2,500 hours in T-37, T-38, F-106, F-4, and T-41 type aircraft.
