Bio

My father was a C-47 pilot with the 321st Transport Squadron, 27th Air Transport Group, 302nd Transport Wing, ASC, USSTAF. I served as the historian for the veteran's organization and wrote their unit history, Gooney Birds & Ferry Tales, The 27th Air Transport Group in WW2, published by Schiffer Publishing. I also wrote my father's personal memoirs, Gooney Bird Driver. I have written a number of books about the USAAF in WW2 including, American Flight Jackets, Airmen and Aircraft, (with John Conway), Silver Wing's Pinks & Greens, Gear Up! and others.
