My grandmother's uncle...my great uncle flew with the 303rd Bomb Group 359th Squadron, he completed 30 missions as Waist-Gunner. He flew 29 of his 30 missions with 1st Lt Billy M. Goolsby. I never met this man but through the great record keeping of my grandmother I have come to know him, a little. I do not want men and women like him to be forgotten with time. My family has served in the military dating back to the American Revolution where my great (x5) grandfather fought with 74th Regiment of the Foot, Scottish Highlanders against the colonial uprising.
