I am an amateur historian, with a fascination for World War II. As a fountain pen dealer (retired in 2015) and restorer (won't ever retire), I periodically come across pens that were personalized with their owners' names. Those names have led me on eager electronic chases, very few of which have been fruitless, to learn who the people were; the ones who turned out to have been in the military have been the most interesting. AAM is one of the sites I've found useful; and when I have information from other sources that I can add to a page here, I shall do so.
