Notes: In the USSR, B-17s and P-51s are flown, at daybreak, from dispersal bases to Poltave and Mirgorod and loaded and fueled with the intention of bombing the oil refinery at Drohobycz, Poland and then to proceed to USAAF bases in Italy. However, bad weather cancels the mission until tomorrow. All aircraft return to the dispersal bases for the night as a precaution against air attacks.
