B-24D 42-41158 'IV F -Sack Time Sally' - 13th Antisubmarine squadron - Port Side photo- Starboard has '8 BALL - IV F' In September 1943 the 13th was dissolved, and the aircraft were turned over to the 333rd Sub Depot of Grenier Field whilst the 13 A/S sqn awaited the impending moving orders. in December 1943 the squadron was re-named the 493rd BG, 863rd BS. they did this without any aircraft attached.
