Sergeant Rudolph H. Grossi was born March 9, 1923, and was the son of Emidio and Frances Grossi. His hometown was Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He served as a gunner aboard “Ready, Willing and Able,” B-24 tail #41-29427, of the 392nd Bomb Group, 578th Bomb Squadron.
On April 29, 1944, returning from a mission to Berlin, the aircraft exploded in mid-air over Brandeham, Norfolk, killing the entire crew.
He is buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
