Robert Hardin
MilitaryOn 15 August 1944 whilst flying to Le Muy as part of the invasion of Southern France. The Horsa glider he was flying disintegrated in mid air 30 miles North East of Bastia and crashed into the sea.
Hardin and his fellow passenger William E Kern were killed in Action.
